MARTIN LAMPRECHT established Air Trans Source in 1991 as an air transport marketing consulting firm based in Ontario, Canada, with a network of associates around the world.
Previously, Martin held marketing, sales and management positions in the
regional airline industry, beginning in 1984, and was directly involved
in the establishment of two regional air carriers. His responsibilities
included market research, sales, scheduling, automation systems (CRS),
advertising, promotion, public relations and business planning.
As a consultant, Martin worked with his clients on air service development and marketing plans and prepared market studies and business development plans for airports, including the Greater Toronto Airports Authority, John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport and Region of Waterloo International Airport, all in Ontario, Canada. He also established and managed publicity and marketing programs for Air Trans Source clients. Among the circle of clients are suppliers of technology and services to airlines, airports and other aviation sectors, such as engineering firm IC Industrial Consulting GmbH, and the world's second largest manufacturer of robots and automated production
systems, KUKA, where Martin holds the post of Senior Sales Manager, North America and Asia for the omniMove product line of mobile tool platforms for airline MROs, aerospace manufacturers
and other industrial applications. Air Trans Source is also a Global Associate
of Millennium Aero Dynamics Pvt. Ltd. of India, a specialized advisory services provider to the Aerospace,
Aviation and Airport Infrastructure sectors.
Martin is an Associate of IndiCan,an advisory management consultancy that has established an international business conduit linking the commercial interests of two countries, India and Canada.
Martin holds a Master's Degree in Economic Geography with specialization in Commercial Air Transportation from the University of Regina, Canada and Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Political Sciences, Linguistic, Education and Geography from the University of Marburg, Germany.
Aviation publishing and journalism background:
In 1988, Martin established Canada's first trade magazine for airline management
and managed it as publisher and editor for over four years. From 1994 to
2001 he served as International Editor and Marketing Manager of GSE Today,
a US-based trade publication, conference / exhibition and Internet information
service for the international aviation ground support industry. Martin
is currently the North American Editor and Webmaster for Momberger Airport Information, a leading, 30-year old newsletter and new Internet information service for the international airport industry. and contributes to Jane's Airport Review, while working with a number
of his aviation consulting clients.
